Calder Cup Playoffs: Texas Stars Games To Be Televised In Dallas Remainder Of Final Round

The Dallas Stars‘ AHL affiliate, the Texas Stars, play game three tonight in their quest to win the Calder Cup. In their way, the St John’s Ice Caps — the AHL affiliate of the Winnipeg Jets, who are a central division foe for the Dallas Stars.

It’s kind of fun seeing the future of these two NHL teams compete against each other, isn’t it?

Watching is exactly what Stars fans in the Fox Sports Southwest footprint will be able to do for the rest of the final Calder Cup round, with the television station picking up all of the remaining games to be broadcast on their station.

Games 3 and 4 appear to be broadcasting on FSSW Plus, and though the schedule says “TBD” for the remainder of the games, it’s probably a safe bet that the games will stay there throughout the Calder Cup finals.

Having hockey at any level broadcast on the partner station of the Dallas Stars is huge for continuing to grow the game in Texas. Just the fact that it is accessible will go a long way to helping the game of hockey here, and it helps that no local teams are in the playoffs right now like the Texas Stars are. Dallas does love them some winners.

The series is currently tied 1-1, after the teams split the first two games of the finals in Cedar Park.
