Taylor has covered the Dallas Stars since 2011. She joined DBD as a contributor in April 2011, became a staff writer in 2013, and became the managing editor since 2016 after running things behind the scenes for a few seasons. Taylor is a former member of the PHWA, independent correspondent for NHL.com in Dallas, and has been a credentialed member of the Stars media contingent for over 7 seasons.

Ann was a late adopter of hockey and has only been watching since 2013. That’s right, the lock out year. She started a blog with her best friend Carolyn and after doing that for a while, was invited to join the crew at Defending Big D, where she has been covering game recaps and defending Sam Gagner’s honor since some time after 2013 and before right now. She’d prefer it if you call her Merrin.

Juraj joined the DBD staff in 2022, instantly becoming the Head of DBD European Department. Focuses mostly on player/roster analysis, projecting contracts and business side of all things NHL. Occasionally drops in for the podcast with bullet-proof JK facts.

After joining DBD as a member in 2013, Tyler joined the staff in 2017 as a Daily Links Contributor. He has since become a utility writer, helping cover game previews and recaps, player profiles, and general analysis, plus making the occasional podcast appearance.
