There might not be video (but there will reportedly be radio from the opposing broadcast). There might not be Jamie Benn or Tyler Seguin. There might not even be any points on the line.
But for the first time since May, the Dallas Stars are back on the ice at the American Airlines Center for tonight’s preseason opener against the St. Louis Blues.
A lack of forward superstars doesn’t mean a lack of intrigue, however. The Stars do have some notable veterans as well as some new faces in the lineup. Here’s the look per Sean Shapiro:
Stars lines in warmups:
Hudler-Spezza-Sharp
Elie-Janmark-Eaves
Ully-Smith-Gurianov
Ranford-Dowling-Ritchie— Sean Shapiro (@seanshapiro) September 27, 2016
Stars D pairs:
Backman-Klingberg
Oleksiak-Johns
Nemeth-HonkaLehtonen starts in goal

Have fun getting back into GDT mode. Remember, they obviously win or lose the Stanley Cup tonight.
