Dallas Stars Unofficial Watch Party To Benefit Defending The Blue Line Charity

We’re turning our Olympic Kickoff Party into a Dallas Stars watch party at Community Beer Company! Watch as the Stars take on the Columbus Blue Jackets while you drink some of Community Beer Company’s finest brews, such as their 2013 Gold Medal winning Public Ale!

Suggested donation is $25 – drink delicious Community Beer, win fabulous prizes and bid on autographed Olympic jerseys from Russia’s Valeri Nichushkin and Gold Medal Winner Canada’s Jamie Benn (isn’t that a lot cooler item to have now?!) We will have the Stars v Blue Jackets game on the big screens and we will have a photo booth with silly props to snap some memories of the event. Hope you can make it!

If you donated to the previous event, you do NOT need to pay again (obviously).

Date: Tuesday, March 4th
Time: 6-9 pm
Location: Community Beer Company; 1530 Inspiration Drive; Suite 200, Dallas, TX
Donations: We will accept cash or credit card at the door!

Profits from the event will be used to send DFW area military service members and their families to the Dallas Stars Military Appreciation Night on Friday, March 28th through Defending the Blue Line (http://www.defendingtheblueline.org). The event this season will feature camouflage jerseys worn during warm-ups, military displays as part of the Party on the Plaza and special recognition of our nation’s heroes throughout the game. Defending the Blue Line (http://www.defendingtheblueline.org) has partnered with the Dallas Stars Foundation for the past two seasons to help provide access to the sport of hockey to our local servicemen and women and their families. This year, American-born defenseman Alex Goligoski created “Alex’s Army” and donated four Gold level tickets to every Dallas Stars home game to members of the military.

Can’t be there in person? Please still consider donating tickets to send military members and their families to the March 28th game. For questions or ways to donate, contact D’Ann Faught of the Dallas Stars at dfaught@dallasstars.com for more information.

As an ex-Air Force brat, I can tell you that getting involved in activities as a kid isn’t always easy, and organizations like Defending the Blue Line make that a lot easier. It means a lot to kids to have an easy way to get involved. All donors will be entered to win door prizes!

**Please note this is not an official Dallas Stars or Defending the Blue Line event. A group of hockey people in Dallas is hosting this party as a fun social event to celebrate the renewal of the Stars season and wanted all profits to go to a worthy cause. Hope you can join us!!
