Dallas Stars Prospect Update: Remi Elie's Erie Otters Advance To OHL's Western Conference Finals

OHL

The Erie Otters advanced to the OHL's Western Conference Finals after sweeping their second round opponent, the London Knights. Only one of those games were played this week.

The Otters clinched last Tuesday in a 5-2 win, Remi Elie finished with a single assist in the game. He had an assist on Travis Dermott's empty net goal late in the third period. Highlights of the game can be found here.

With the victory in their second round series they advance to face the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in the Western Finals. Elie has 12 points through 9 playoff games for the Otters.

Jason Dickinson and the Guelph Storm were swept out of the OHL playoffs in the second round by the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. The last game of the series, played on Tuesday, was a 3-2 loss.

The Storm fell behind by three goals but were able to bring the gap down to one by early in the third period. Dickinson had assists on both of Pius Suter's goals in the game. Highlights of that game can be found here.

Following the end of Jason Dickinson's season he was assigned to the Texas Stars in the AHL.

The Niagara IceDogs played three games this week but were eliminated from the second round of the OHL playoffs by the Oshawa Generals.

Aaron Haydon had a single point through those games, an assist on Thursday. He had the secondary assist on Jordan Maletta's sixth goal of the playoffs during a 7-4 loss. Highlights of the game can be found here.

Brent Moran did not play for the IceDog's during the three games this week.

QMJHL

The Rimouski Oceanic advanced in the QMJHL playoffs after a 4-1 series win against the Gatineau Olympiques. The Oceanic played three games this week.

Philippe Desrosiers only played a total of five minutes and 45 seconds in those three games. He was dressed as backup in the other games, making it appear that the benching was performance related and not due to injury.

In the time he played this week he let in two goals on four shots early in the first period, he hasn't played in net since.

There is still a series ongoing so who the Oceanic will face in the next round is not yet clear.

USHL

Matej Paulovic played three games this week for the Muskegon Lumberjacks in the USHL playoffs and he finished with a single assist.

They are facing the Youngstown Phantoms and lead their series 2-1 in a best of three series. They play their potential clinching game later today.

Paulovic got his assist during a 5-4 opening win on Wednesday, it was a primary assist on Griffen Molino's powerplay goal.
