Dallas Stars’ Poster Series Debuts With Jordie Benn and Jamie Benn Special Edition

The Dallas Stars foundation is always looking for new ways to raise money for all of their charitable work.

The money the foundation raises through in-game promotional items, silent auctions, and other fundraising events allows the team to give back to the community. They focus on a lot of children’s charities and award grants to local charitable causes. Some of the charities the Stars have supported include:

Children’s Medical Center
Community Partners of Dallas
Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center
Heroes For Children
Make-A-Wish
North Texas Food Bank
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Many players support the Foundation’s efforts in-season through additional programs they sponsor directly.

Fidd’s Kids, which Vernon Fiddler sponsors, provides tickets to Make-A-Wish North Dallas and allows children in the program to come out and enjoy Stars hockey. He’s been doing this for several seasons now.

Jamie Benn is sponsoring four lower-level tickets a game, in addition to two suite nights, for children suffering from multiple sclerosis. He’s partnering with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to distribute the tickets to various children’s hospitals in the DFW area.

Seguin’s Stars was established by the newly acquired Tyler Seguin when he got to Dallas at the start of the season. In partnership with the Southwest Wheelchair Atheltic Association, Seguin provides a suite for people with spinal cord injuries to attend each home game. Additionally, he also does a post game meet-and-greet with Seguin’s Stars attending that night.

This season, the Dallas Stars Foundation are doing a first-of-its-kind poster series to help raise additional funds to support these local charitable efforts. The first print in the Dallas Stars Foundation Poster Series debuted at last Saturday’s home game versus the Chicago Blackhawks.

Get your hands on this limited edition Benn Brothers poster for only $25, with proceeds benefiting the Dallas Stars Foundation.  A great looking poster, and for a great cause. Visit DallasStars.com/posters to get one today!
