Dallas Stars Daily Links: Another Preseason Loss to the Panthers, But the Stars Are Still Focused on the Positive

The Dallas Stars dropped their third preseason game last night with their second preseason loss to the Florida Panthers, 4-2 (with an empty-net goal). What can you say about a game in which Travis Moen – gritty vet that he is – earns two-thirds of a Gordie Howe hat trick and the Second Star of the Night? Brad has already recapped it, so let’s hear the Stars talk it out in their own words.

First of all, Lindy Ruff will remind you how good the entire team looked for most of the game, especially on the penalty kill: “If you play games like that, you’re gonna win.”

Kari Lehtonen was looking good until a huge misadventure behind the net led directly to the Panthers’ go-ahead goal. He kicks himself for it in this clip, but he also lets on that he was really, really enjoying himself during his rather brilliant performance in the 3-on-3 OT test afterward.

And at some point during his performance against the Panthers, did you get the impression that Mattias Janmark wants a job in Dallas? …Was that just me? Here he relives the evening talking about “the most fun game I’ve played over here.”
