Dallas Stars Daily Links: Stars Can’t Cash In On Opportunities

The Stars had a chance to continue their home winning streak.  They had two full minutes of 4-on-3 play in overtime, and couldn’t cash in.

Yet the Blues only needed 20 seconds of it to get the extra point.

It just felt like that kind of night, didn’t it?  Especially after having the first goal of the game waived off due to goalie interference.  Such is the life of hockey.

Regardless of the calls made for or against the Stars, the bottom line is that the Dallas Stars need to start converting on those opportunities. And while there has certainly been progress in that department, there is still a long way to go. Lindy Ruff agrees. [Dallas Morning News]
