Dallas Stars Daily Links: Dallas Finishes Road Trip Without a Win

Well, last night (and the road trip in its entirety) could have gone a lot better.

But rather than focus on the bad, let’s focus on the good – the Dallas Stars’ top three forwards. Those guys are really, really good.

First, Tyler Seguin opened the scoring, putting himself only one goal away from breaking the 40-goal mark:

The Washington Capitals would later take the lead, but Alexander Radulov would go on to tie it up with a deflection off a shot from John Klingberg:

(Klingberg, by the way, is pretty good himself.)

Alex Ovechkin later did Alex Ovechkin things and retook the lead, but not long after, Jamie Benn did Jamie Benn things to tie it up again:

And then something else happened in the third period which we won’t talk about. You know, cause we’re trying to focus on the good.

With both Jason Spezza and Brett Ritchie out last night, the Stars had to call in Curtis McKenzie from Cedar Park. [NHL]

There was quite a bit of action last night, including three other Central teams taking the ice:

  • The Winnipeg Jets managed to squeeze out a victory against the Los Angeles Kings, winning 2-1 in overtime. [Arctic Ice Hockey]
  • The Colorado Avalanche meanwhile easily disposed the  Chicago Blackhawks 5-1. [Mile High Hockey]/

Jacob Trouba left last Sunday’s game against the Stars early, and is now entering concussion protocol:

Thanks to last night’s loss, the Blackhawks are officially eliminated from the playoffs. But hey, at least Jonathan Toews is as good as ever. [FanRag Sports]

Both the Nashville Predators and Minnesota Wild are receiving some young late-season additions to boost their Stanley Cup chances. [The Hockey News]
