Dallas Stars Daily Links: Who Will Replace Radek Faksa?

Happy Monday everyone!  As per usual, there isn’t a ton of content to riff off of on Sundays, so I’ll just get straight to the links/tweets.  Hopefully this will give you some good stuff to read while you (pretend to) work today.  Have a great week!

Dallas! Stars!

With several options to replace Radek Faksa, who is the best fit?  Sean Shapiro lays out the case for the potential replacements. [Wrong Side of the Red Line]

I’m excited to see the comments regarding this news:

An update on Martin Hanzal after working out Sunday:

The Captain, Jamie Benn, is the Stars’ Star of the Month after putting up his jersey number in points during October :

Razor doing his thing:

This is pretty good.  I’d probably avoid the biggest guys (Ben Bishop, Jamie Oleksiak) because they would need the most food:

The Other 30

I wonder if DiPietro is a name that GMs will give decade-and-a-half long contracts to, or if it was just specific to Rick?  Only time will tell.  (No relation between Michael and Rick BTW). [Sporting News]

Matt Duchene, darling Matt Duchene.  How they traded you, said “woohoo,”, it fell through, now you’re blue.  Sorry, that was terrible.  I watched Ferris Bueller recently.  Anyways, Matt Duchene was almost sent to the Senators, but then he wasn’t. [Sporting News]

Terrible news.  Stay strong Kerry:

I have to say, I mostly agree with these rankings, although I’d slide Finland from #3 to #2, that crest is pretty boss.  Sweden is a perennial lock at #1, and team USA’s are pretty not great:

Sure thing, Evgeni:

Not too many surprises on this list:

Some might say Alex Radulov should be on this list. [The Score]

The NHL Network gives out some October awards:

I mean, this would certainly make things more fair:

And I’ll leave you with this to brighten up your Monday:
