Wednesday’s Links: OT Woes Continue For The Stars

Last night’s game, with the Devils went to overtime tied 1-1, before the Stars, suffered the same results they have experienced the previous five times this season. With four more OT losses from the end of last season, makes nine in a row. Coach Lindy Ruff had this to say:

This might have been the best possession we’ve had in a long time.  We  just made another ill decision to put a puck in the middle.  We had good  possession.  We should have been changing by that time.  The result was  we made a bad pass and we let guys get by us.  I liked the fact that we  went after them right off the face off.  We lost it, then got it back.

Tyler Seguin Jamie Benn and John Klingberg started the extra frame. They were able to keep the puck in the Devils zone before an errant pass led to the Adam Henrique  winning goal.

We played pretty hard. We’ll do a little work on our three-on-three and we’ll get back to it,” said defenseman Jordie Benn of Thursday’s home game against Colorado. “We have talked about it in the room. Those two points [when you win in OT] are huge for us. We just have to get back at it and turn it around.
