Curtis Douglas is the newest addition to the Dallas Stars organization. He was selected 106th overall in the fourth round of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.
Douglas is the tallest player in this year’s draft at 6’9” and 247 pounds. The Ontario native played with the Barrie Colts in 2017-2018 before being traded during the season to the Windsor Spitfires. He recorded seven goals, 11 assists, and 18 points in 28 games with Barrie and 15 goals, 13 assists, and 28 points in 38 games with Windsor. He was also a part of the Windsor Spitfires’ playoffs roster and scored one goal and three assists in six playoff games.
At 6’9”, Douglas has speed, deft puck-handling skills, and isn’t afraid to play a physical game of hockey:
Douglas says he wants to play like Brian Boyle or Ryan Reeves.

One of our staff is part of the media scrum today and had this to say about Douglas:
Curtis Douglas was 77 on my list. The size is obvious, but he can skate well and make some really sweet plays with the puck. He’s already a Top 6 player in Windsor and plays a big role.
Just chatted with him in a media scrum. Great personality, attitude and enthusiasm.
