Stars Pick Dawson Barteaux in Round 6 of the Draft at 168th Overall

The newest member of the Dallas Stars organization is defenseman Dawson Barteaux. He was selected 168th overall in the sixth round of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.

Barteaux has played with the Red Deer Rebels in the WHL since midway through the 2016-2017 season. He recorded three goals, a staggering 29 assists, and 32 points in 64 games during the 2017-2018 season. Barteaux is the first defenseman the Stars have picked in the 2018 draft.

Despite the mid-level size for a blueliner, Barteaux shows room for growth and an eagerness to constantly work on his game:

We’ll have more interviews and content in the coming days thanks to our staff at the draft in Dallas.
