Dallas Stars Second Round Schedule, Broadcast Information

With the Carolina Hurricanes eliminating the defending Stanley Cup champion Washington Capitals last night, the NHL finally set broadcast times for the second round of the playoffs. Because there is only one matchup out West past the central time zone (San Jose Sharks vs Colorado Avalanche), and that series will be opposite of the Dallas Stars and St. Louis Blues matchup on the schedule, Dallas will see a few late night starts so that the NBC broadcasts can have an early game and a late game.

Who doesn’t like a full night of playoff hockey during the week?

Here’s the announced dates, times, and broadcast listings for the second round of the playoffs for the Dallas Stars and St. Louis Blues:

Game 1:  Dallas Stars @ St. Louis Blues | Thursday, April 25th | 8:30 PM CDT | NBCSN
Game 2:  Dallas Stars @ St. Louis Blues | Saturday, April 27th | 2:00 PM CDT | NBC
Game 3:  Dallas Stars vs St. Louis Blues | Monday, April 29th | 7:00 PM CDT | NBCSN
Game 4:  Dallas Stars vs St. Louis Blues | Wednesday, May 1st | 8:30 PM CDT | NBCSN
Game 5*: Dallas Stars @ St. Louis Blues | Friday, May 3rd | 8:30 PM CDT | NBCSN
Game 6*: Dallas Stars vs St. Louis Blues | Sunday, May 5th | TBD | TBD
Game 7*: Dallas Stars @ St. Louis Blues | Tuesday, May 7th | TBD | TBD

*If necessary

After the first round, all games are broadcast nationally with national crews, with color and play-by-play talent such as Doc Emerick, John Forslund, Eddie Olczyk, and others.  The Stars’ broadcast duo of Razor Reaugh and Josh Bogorad can be heard on The Ticket for the remaining playoff games. Due to the NFL Draft’s first round occurring tonight, that call will be found on News Talk 820 WBAP locally. I’d expect the remainder of the games to be carried on the radio partner of the Stars.
