Kari Lehtonen Starts Tonight; Michael Ryder a Game Time Decision

In an effort to escape their back-to-back woes this season the Dallas Stars will start their number one Kari Lehtonen for the second night in a row, reports Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News. Andrew Raycroft has started Dallas’ first four second halves of back-to-back situations and the team has gone 0-4-0 in those contests, though it’s certainly not always his fault. (The game in Los Angeles, for instance, he played spectacularly).

Other news out of Stars camp today is that Tomas Vincour, who took a big hit from Luke Schenn last night, is feeling fine and will play tonight. No word yet on whether or not that hit will be reviewed by the league. It looked as though the principle point of contact may have been the head, but don’t expect anything to come of it.

Michael Ryder went down awkwardly last night and went to the locker room for a time before returning. His status for tonight is questionable. It appeared as though he tweaked a knee but they’re calling it a leg injury.

Brenden Morrow was placed on injured reserve today retroactively to November 21st and is still expected to return for the home game against Ottawa this coming Thursday night. If Ryder is unable to go tonight and Tuesday that will make room for a call up from Cedar Park.
