The Dallas Stars will take part in their final preseason match tonight against the Chicago Blackhawks, and that’s probably pretty good timing. The Stars have gone 1-5 in the preseason so far and have looked a little, well, off.
Could be rust. Could be chemistry with some new faces on the team. Could be a lot of things. It doesn’t really matter, anyways, as the Stars could really benefit from a win any way that they can get one to build some momentum heading into their first regular season game.
Patrick Sharp and Johnny Oduya will be facing their old club, while we’ll get to see Trevor Daley and Ryan Garbutt again. Curtis McKenzie and Mattias Janmark will get their last shot to prove that they deserve a roster spot, while guys like Colton Sceviour and Travis Moen could be fighting to keep theirs. No shortage of storylines for this one.
