OHL
Remi Elie is entering this week with a four-game point streak with six points in his last four games for the Belleville Bulls. He had two goals during a 6-4 loss to the Kingston Frontenacs and two assists in a 3-1 win over the Barrie Colts. He assisted on a pair of power play goals. He scored Belleville’s lone goal, on the power play, in a 4-1 loss to the Oshawa Generals on Saturday and would add another assist in a 3-2 win over the Petes on Sunday. He now has 56 points in the 52 games he has played with the Bulls.
Jason Dickinson played three games this week and had three points in those games. He had a goal and an assist in a 9-3 drumming of the Plymouth Whalers last Monday. He would follow that up with a single assist in a 6-3 loss to the Saginaw Spirit on Sunday.
Gemel Smith played four games this week and had five points in those three games. He had two goals and an assist in a 6-3 win over the Oshawa Generals last Monday and followed that up with an assist in a 6-5 overtime win against the Windsor Spitfires. He would get another goal in a 6-3 win over the Ottawa 67s. The London Knights clinched a playoff spot this week.
Nick Paul went pointless through three games this week. However the North Bay Battalion did clinch a playoff spot during this week.
Cody Payne played three games this week and finished with three points. He had a goal in a 5-2 loss to the Petes on Thursday and followed it up with two assists in a 5-2 win over Owen Sound Attack.
Radek Faksa played in three games this week and had three points. They all came during a 4-1 win over the Mississauga Steelheads last Monday. He had a goal and two assists in the game and was named second star of the game. The Wolves clinched a playoff spot this week.
WHL
Mike Winther is still injured and has not played this week for the Calgary Hitmen. He has eight points through the 11 games he has played with them.
Cole Ully played three games for the Kamloops Blazers and had three points through those three games. His four game point streak was broken against the Portland Winterhawks on Friday in a 4-2 loss. He would score a goal for the Blazers in their 3-2 shootout win over Seattle, he did miss his shootout attempt however. He had two assists during a 9-4 loss to Spokane on Sunday. He has 65 points in 60 games this season.
Dmitry Sinitsyn is another one riding a four-game point streak this week with six points in the last four games. He had an assist in a 4-0 win over the Brandon Wheat Kings last Monday, two assists, and a plus-3 in a 4-2 win over the Saskatoon Blades on Wednesday and he was also named first star of the game. He would follow that up with a goal and an assist against the Victoria Royals in a 3-2 win and a goal against the Hitmen on Saturday in a 5-4 shootout win. Sinitsyn was the sixth shooter for Regina in the shootout and missed his shot.
Branden Troock only played two games this and had a single assist. The assist came during a 3-2 shootout loss to the Blazers. He would score his shootout attempt.
QMJHL
Troy Vance played three games this week and had two assists in those games. His first assist would come during a 6-4 loss to Cape Breton. He would then assist on Charlottetown’s lone goal in a 3-1 loss to Saint John on Sunday.
Phillippe Desrosiers would have a four game shutout streak broken this week but he nevertheless managed to win every game he played. He shutout Victoriaville on Monday during a 5-0 victory. His shutout streak was ended at just over 243 minutes without letting in a goal against the Sherbrooke Phoenix. He let in three goals during a 9-3 win. He would let in a lone goal in a 4-1 win on Friday against Blainville-Boisbriand. His save percentage for February stands at 0.962 with a 0.92 goals against average. Rimouski has clinched a playoff spot.
Maxime Lagace played two games and had a rough going in both. He came in as relief during the 9-3 loss to Rimouski and saved 17 of the 22 shots he faced. He would face them again on Saturday during a 6-3 loss, he would let in five goals on 36 shots. The last goal was scored in the empty net.
USHL
Matej Paulovic would play a single game for the Muskegon Lumberjacks and he went pointless in that game.
NCAA
Alex Guptill played in a single game this week for Michigan. He had a goal and an assist in a 5-4 overtimeloss to Penn State. He did not play in the second game of the back to back.
Devin Shore played two games this week in back to back games against Northeastern. The first game was a 4-4 tie in which Shore finished with two assists. In the second game, a 4-3 loss, Shore had a goal and an assist.
Sweden
The SHL will restart this week following the Olympics with both Klingberg and Bystrom expected to be in action.
Rogle played three games this week with both Emil Molin and Niklas Hansson playing. Niklas Hansson went pointless through those games. However Emil Molin had an excellent week with a goal and three assists in those games. He had a three point game in a 4-1 win over Almtuna, he scored a goal and had two assists.
Finland
The SM-Liiga was not in action this week and will restart on Tuesday the 25th.
