Remi Elie played three games in the first round of the OHL playoffs. The Erie Otters face the Sarnia Sting. Remi Elie finished with three points through the first three games.
On Thursday the Otters lost game one 3-2. Remi Elie had a goal, halfway through the third period, and he was named second star of the game. Highlights of the game can be found here.
Remi Elie would add his second playoff goal and his first assist in a 3-1 win on Friday. He assisted on Connor McDavid's first playoff goal and would add his own, the game winner, halfway through the second period. Remi Elie was named first star of the game for his effort. Highlights of the game can be found here.
He'd go pointless in a 6-5 win against the Sting on Sunday.
Erie lead the series 2-1 against the Sarnia Sting. It's an interesting one to watch as it features three prominent 2015 NHL Draft prospects: Connor McDavid, Dylan Strome and Pavel Zacha.
Jason Dickinson had two goals through two games for the Guelph Storm as they face the Owen Sound Attack in their first round series.
He had the Storm's only goal during a 6-1 opening game loss. He scored early in the second period at equal strength. Highlights of that game can be found here. In game two the Guelph Storm managed to grab a 4-3OT win. Dickinson would add his second goal of the playoffs. He had an unassisted goal late in the first period. Highlights of the game can be found here.
The series is currently tied at 1-1 between the Guelph Storm and Owen Sound Attack.
Aaron Haydon played the first two games for the Niagara IceDogs as they faced the Ottawa 67's. He finished without any points in those two games. The IceDogs haven't had a very good start to the playoffs, losing both games 8-5 and 8-2.
Brent Moran played only 30 minutes for the IceDogs, starting game two. He was pulled after letting in five goals in ten shots on goal. His numbers are pretty bad to look at but the IceDogs have totally fallen apart in the last few games. In their two playoff games and their last regular season game they have allowed 24 goals, eight per game.
The Niagara IceDogs are down 2-0 in their series against the Ottawa 67's.
WHL
Brett Pollock played three games for the Edmonton Oil Kings in their first round clash against the Brandon Wheat Kings. He had three points, all in the first game, but went pointless in games two and three. Pollock had a pair of goals, one equal strength and the other on the powerplay, and assisted on Lane Bauer goal halfway through the third period. Highlights of the game can be found here.
The Brandon Wheat Kings lead that series 2-1.
QMJHL
Philippe Desrosiers only played a single game for the Rimouski Oceanic this week as they faced their first round opponent Victoriaville Tigres. The Oceanic won that game 4-3 in overtime and he made 15 saves on 18 shots to earn the win. That was a 0.833SVS%.
The Oceanic currently lead that series 2-0.
USHL
Matej Paulovic played three games for the Muskegon Lumberjacks and finished with a goal and an assist. He now has 45 points through 47 games.

Both Mattias Backman (Linkoping) and Mattias Janmark (Frolunda) claimed spots in the SHL semi finals this week. Frolunda came from behind, winning three straight games, to advance in game seven. Linkoping won in six games to advance.
Backman played 12 minutes in the game that clinched a spot in the semi finals and he went pointless in the game. In Linkoping's first semi final game against Skelleftea, a 5-2 loss, Backman went pointless and played 16 minutes. Linkoping face a tough challenge; Skelleftea finished top of the league in the regular season and swept their first round opponents.
Janmark had a big game in game seven for Frolunda against Lulea, scoring a goal and having an assist in a 4-2 win. He scored an empty net goal but also had the primary assist on Anton Axelsson's shorthanded goal 3-0 late in the third period.
In their first game against Vaxjo in the semi finals, Janmark finished with a single assist in a 4-1 win. He assisted on the opening goal for Frolunda, less than four minutes into the first period.
Niklas Hansson and Emil Molin were part of Rogle's promotion success this week. They clinched their series 4-1 and will play in the SHL next season.
Last Monday Rogle lost to Vasteras 3-0. Both players went pointless in the contest. Nikas Hansson played 18 minutes while Molin played just five. On Thursday, Rogle would claim a 3-1 lead to the series with a 6-1 win. Hansson scored the game winning goal early in the second period, starting a five goal stretch that gave them the win. Hansson played 18 minutes while Emil Molin did not touch the ice.
On Sunday they clinched promotion in a 2-0 win of Vasteras. Both players went pointless in the win. Molin, once again, did not touch the ice while Hansson played 16 minutes in the win.
Both players are without contracts in Sweden for next year. I expect Emil Molin to play in North America next season but I can see Niklas Hansson signing a one year contract with Rogle. Hansson has not yet signed an entry level contract with the Dallas Stars, something that could happen this off season.
John Nyberg played three games with Frolunda J20 in their quarterfinal series against MODO J20. He had a single point, an assist, during that time. His assist came on the tying goal in a 4-3 win on Saturday. Frolunda J20 currently lead the series 2-1.
