Every week, we look at the various prospects in the Dallas Stars system and check in on how they’re doing. All stats are updated from the previous Sunday to Saturday night.
OHL
Remi Elie had two goals through three games this week for the Belleville Bulls. He got a goal during the Bull’s 6-5 OT loss to the Oshawa Generals. He got the other during a 6-3 win against the Kingston Frontenacs.
Jason Dickinson had a single assist through two games for the Guelph Storm. It came during a 9-4 win over the Peterborough Petes.
Radek Faksa played three games this week and didn’t register any points to go along with two penalty minutes.
Nick Paul played two games this week and finished with a -2 rating and two penalty minutes.
Gemel Smith got three goals and an assist in four games this week. He got a hat trick against the Peterborough Petes during a 6-1 win. Two of those were powerplay goals. He was the first star of the game.
Matej Paulovic played only a single game and finished with two penalty minutes.
Cody Payne played three games and had a single goal in each of those games. He got the third star of the game during their 5-3 loss to the Sarnia Sting.
WHL
Cole Ully had four points in his three games this week. Three of those (a goal and two assists) came during the Kamloops Blazers 8-7OT loss to the Prince George Cougars. He had a goal during the Blazers’ 7-3 loss to the Portland Winterhawks. He finished a collective -4.
Mike Winther played two games for the Prince Albert Raiders and had a goal in one and an assist in the other. They won both of the games (4-1 against the Saskatoon Blades, 3-2 against the Kootenay Ice).
Dmitry Sinitsyn had an excellent week for the Regina Pats. He had a four point night during the Pats 5-4 OT win against the Everett Silvertips. He also got an assist during the Pats 3-2 win over the Spokane Chiefs.
Branden Troock played three games and finished the week with three points. He got the Thunderbird’s lone goal during their 2-1 loss to the Victoria Royals. In their second game against the Royals, a 3-1 win, Troock got two assists. This effort was enough to earn him the second star of the game.
QMJHL
Troy Vance was given a 6 game suspension for kneeing on November 7th and therefore did not play this week. He is eligible to return to game action this Friday.
Maxime Lagace is still out injured and did not play for Cape Breton.
Philippe Desrosiers played two games for the Rimouski Oceanic this week, one win and one loss. He had a reasonable .923 SV% during a 5-2 win. He had a .727 SV% during a 6-1 loss and was pulled for the last five minutes of the game.
NCAA
Alex Guptill played two games and had an assist in both of those games. They lost the first 3-2 and won the second 4-3. They were both against Omaha.
Devin Shore played a single game, a 7-0 win over Boston University, and had a goal and an assist. He was named the third star of the game.
Sweden
John Klingberg played three games this week and had two assists. Frolunda won all of their games this week with Klingberg averaging just over 20 minutes of ice time per game.
Ludwig Bystrom played two of Farjestads’ three games this week and was on the third defensive unit. He averaged 17 minutes between those two games and had a goal in a 5-2 win and an assist 6-2 win.
Emil Molin played all three of Brynas’ three games and finished a collective -4. He averaged just under 10 minutes with the fourth line but played 16 on their third line on Saturday.
Niklas Hansson played two games for Rogle J20 and had two assists. He is tied for fourth on his team in scoring, despite playing nearly 10 less games than most of his teammates.
Finland
According to the SM-Liiga website Esa Lindell played only one game for Jokerit this week, centring the fourth line.
Henri Kiviaho is no longer backup for KalPa but I haven’t been able to find any details if he has been loaned to a different club or is injured.
