Stars Regular Season Schedule Drops

The Dallas Stars schedule is here! You can now see when the defending Stanley Cup champions come to town their one game of the regular season (January 4th), what the best road game might be for the year (Detroit on a Sunday at the end of October? Vegas in December? Chicago in February?)

Here’s the full schedule in picture form, courtesy of the Stars:

There are only 12 back-to-backs this season, fewer than this team usually has to handle.  Six of those will be road-and-road, with the other split evenly between home-and-road and road-and-home (no home-and-home sets this season).

Their longest road trip will be six games (October 28th through November 6th), and their longest home stand is 5 games (two times – once in January/February and once in March). Nine of their games at home versus Eastern Conference opponents comes before the All-Star break, and six come after.

The NHL-mandated bye week appears to be tacked onto the All-Star break, giving the Stars 10 full days off at the end of January. Depending on where they are health-wise, that could be a blessing for some healing for the push down the stretch this season.
