This NHL analyst thinks the duo of Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin will outscore Patrick Kane this season.

SportsDayDFW  moderator: Who are the five most important Dallas Stars for the 2017-18 season?

MikeHeika@SportsDayDFW: Another tricky question.

The easy answer is Ben Bishop at No. 1, but I think all goalies will have it a little easier because of the improved defensive play.

I’ll go with:

1. Jamie Benn, because the Stars follow his lead.

2. Tyler Seguin, because he needs to learn to love challenging the other team’s best players.

3. John Klingberg, because Julius Honka and Esa Lindell still need to develop, and Klingberg should be the leader of the defense right now.

4. Ben Bishop, because Ken Hitchcock teams typically produce top 10 goalies in terms of GAA.

5. Alexander Radulov, because he needs to not only find his own place on this team but also help pave a path for Val Nichushkin and Denis Gurianov to follow behind him.
