Dallas Stars Daily Links: Stars Pick Up Crucial Points With Win

Originally, I was going to start Links off with a terrible St. Louis Blues pun. Probably something about crying and the phrase “boo-hoo.” But I decided to not subject you guys to that. I guess you could say I showed mercy, just like a saint.

Here’s Benn’s second of the night, which probably silenced some of his critics at least temporarily:

Tyler Seguin would eventually seal the win with an empty-netter. And for once, such a goal is actually highlight-worthy:

Central Census

They still have games in hand on Nashville for first place, but the Winnipeg Jets haven’t looked like themselves lately:

After setting a franchise record for their longest winning streak, it seems only fair that St. Louis would should set a record for their longest losing streak, right? Too soon? (Editor: Yes, too soon, Tyler.)

Around the League

Stars’ GM Jim Nill has pulled off some shrewd trades before, but he’s a step behind some of his colleagues:

Speaking of trades, the Washington Capitals and Los Angeles Kings made one:

Everyone’s focusing on Artemi Panarin, but Jeff Skinner is another interesting case of the “to trade or not to trade” debate:
