Dallas Stars Daily Links: Rich Peverley Speaks at Stars’ Press Conference

So as you all know, the Stars held a press conference to discuss the Rich Peverley situation yesterday. And the best part of it was that Rich Peverley himself said a few words at the beginning of the conference:

How good does that feel to see him walking around? Speaking like that, so soon after the events of Monday, had to be a tough situation for him to be in, but it’s a huge relief to Stars fans, and players I’m sure, to see his condition so vastly improved from when we last saw him.

The press conference also featured a prepared speech from Jim Nill, as well as a few words from Lindy Ruff.

One further thing about the events of Monday night, this article talks about the reaction of Bettman, Shanahan, and the GMs, who were all together in Boca Raton at the time. [ESPN]

And lastly, in a rematch of the earlier Olympic hockey tournament, where the USA won a close game against Russia, the USA and Russia again met in the group stages of the tournament, this time in the Paralympic Games. Although this time Russia, heavy underdogs in sledge hockey, managed to steal a victory from the Americans. Highlights of the game here:
