Dallas Stars Daily Links: Devin Shore Looks to Build on Last Season

Last year was Devin Shore’s 1st NHL season and he was one of the few players for the Dallas Stars to play all 82 games. His production of 13 goals and 20 assists placed him 16th against all rookie skaters

Did you know: Shore started his AHL career by scoring 26 points (15 goals, 11 assists) in 23 games in 2015-16 before getting sidelined by an injury.

The Calder Cup Finals are set with the Grand Rapids Griffins (Detroit) against the Syracuse Crunch (Tampa Bay). For the Griffins they be looking to win it all like they did in 2013. Although this is the 1st matchup ever between the Pens and Preds in the playoffs, the 2 teams do have a history. In 2014 Nashville traded forward James Neal for Patric Hornqvist. Hornqvist is close to returning from injury. (NBCSN)

Nashville has one of the best defense corps and with their average age of just short of 27 years old, it looks like they will be around for a while. (NBCSN)

The last 2 Western Conference champs have come from non-traditional hockey markets Nashville and San Jose. The new Vegas team can learn a thing or 2 from these teams for a game plan to their future. (SinBin Vegas)

Shawn Thornton retired this year and threw his skates in the trash, he also did this after winning the cup in 2007 but somebody took them. Now he has put his skates up for charity. (Sports Illustrated)
