Dallas Stars Daily Links: Bruins Shut Out Stars 2-0

Last night, it was more of the same for the Stars, who have struggled to score on the road all year and were blanked by the Bruins 2-0.

The Stars have scored just six goals in their past five road games and only 27 in their past 16 (1.69 per game). For the season, the Stars are averaging 2.23 goals per game on the road where they are 11-23-5.

“We’ve had some bad luck scoring, we haven’t scored enough, so I think that’s the biggest issue,” Stars coach Lindy Ruff said of the team’s road woes. You know, we scored one in Montreal, we scored one in New Jersey in regulation, and we didn’t score tonight, so I think at the end of the night, you know, it comes down to a little bit of the offense.”

The team also lost Curtis McKenzie after a high stick to the face caused an eye injury. Lindy Ruff offered an update on McKenzie after the game.
