Dallas Stars Release 2013-2014 Preseason Schedule

Good news, everyone!

It looks like the 2013-2014 NHL schedule includes hockey before Christmas this year. Unlike last year.

The Dallas Stars today announced their preseason schedule and hockey will return to the American Airlines Center ice on September 15th when the St. Louis Blues come calling at 6:00pm on a Sunday. Three home contests highlight the schedule, but opportunities to see the team in training do not end there.

As has previously been announced they will be making appearances in San Antonio on Setpember 18th and Oklahoma City on September 27th.

Sunday, September 15 vs. St. Louis Blues at 6 p.m. American Airlines Center (Dallas, TX)

Wednesday, September 18: vs. Florida Panthers at 7:30 p.m. American Airlines Center (Dallas, TX)

Friday, September 20: at Florida Panthers at 7:30 p.m. AT&T Center (San Antonio, TX)

Saturday, September 21: at St. Louis Blues at 7 p.m. Scottrade Center (St. Louis, MO)

Tuesday, September 24: at Colorado Avalanche at 8 p.m. Pepsi Center (Denver, CO)

Thursday, September 26: vs. Colorado Avalanche at 7:30 p.m. American Airlines Center (Dallas, TX)

If form from the last few preseasons holds, none will be televised. One may be broadcast on the radio as Ralph and Razor tune up for the real thing in early October.

It’s likely that the only way to see these games is to be there, and we’ve got a good shot at doing so for five of the seven. Couple this with training camp in Ft. Worth the second week of September and the Traverse City tournament the first week, and we’ve got ourselves a blissfully busy little month.

The schedule proper could be out any time now, when the Olympic deal is reached and announced. The new division names should also be announced at that time.
