The Texas Tornado (28-12-6, 62 pts, T-2 South) had a daunting 3-games-in-3-days this past weekend and were able to take two of three from the Wichita Falls Wildcats. The Thursday and Friday games were played in Frisco, with the Tornado dropping the third game in Wichita Falls on Saturday evening.

Tornado Steamroll Wildcats 6-0
The Texas Tornado scored three PP goals, all in the first period, as they coasted to an easy 6-0 victory of Wichita Falls on Thursday night. Jack Prince had a hat trick, while Jordan Greenberg added a goal and three assists, and now has 10 points in his four games since returning from injury. Hunter Leisner earned his first shutout as a member of the Tornado, stopping all 16 shots sent his way. Drew Allen also scored for the Tornado while Marc Biggs picked up his first goal in nearly two months with the opening marker of the contest.
Texas Rallies for 4-3 Victory of Wichita Falls
The Tornado needed a third period comeback, but recovered from a pair of two-goal deficits to defeat the Wildcats 4-3 on Friday night at the Dr Pepper Arena in Frisco. After his hat trick on Thursday, Jack Prince chipped in two more goals, including the game-winner with 2:23 remaining in the game. Nick Neville and Michael Hoy also had goals of their own in the win. Joakim Jutras stopped 33 shots in his first start since January 21st against Topeka. With the win, Texas has now won 3 games in a row.
Tornado Fail to Complete Sweep, Fall 4-2 to Wildcats
Texas had their 3-game winning streak snapped on Saturday night, falling 4-2 to the Wichita Falls Wildcats at Kay Yeager Coliseum. Jack Prince assisted on both Tornado goals, and finished the weekend with 8 points (5g, 3a) on the weekend series. Leisner started in goal for the Tornado and was handed his first loss in three tries with Texas. Allen scored for the third time in four games, while T.J. Stuntz earned his first career goal in the losing effort. Prince’s 8-point weekend gives him 62 on the season, good for 4th in the NAHL. He also now has 172 points in his Tornado career, just 15 shy of Karl Sellan for most all-time in a Tornado uniform.
Looking Ahead and Around:
–The Tornado have just two games remaining in February, this Friday and Saturday at the Dr Pepper Arena against the 1st-place Amarillo Bulls. Amarillo is a stout 34-5-7 on the season good for 75 points, 13 ahead of second-place Topeka and Texas. The Tornado have faced Amarillo twice this season, losing once in OT before a resounding 3-0 victory the following evening. Both games start at 7:30pm and Saturday is “Youth Jersey Night”!
