World Junior Championships: Dallas Stars Prospects Jason Dickinson And Remi Elie Are Invited To Team Canada’s Selection Camp

Two Dallas Stars prospects have been invited to Team Canada’s selection camp in Toronto next week. Jason Dickinson (Guelph Storm – OHL) and Remi Elie (Belleville Bulls – OHL) were both named as part of the 29 man roster. Both will fight for a spot in a highly competitive camp for the honour of representing Team Canada at the 2015 WJC in Canada.

It wasn’t only good news for Dallas Stars prospects. A pair of prospects who were hoped to have made the camp were not invited. Philippe Desrosiers, a goaltender for the Rimouski Oceanic in the QMJHL, was expected to be invited to the camp but Canada has only invited two goaltenders.

The other Stars prospect who will be disappointed not to have been invited is Cole Ully. Ully has 35 points in 26 games for the Kamloops Blazers and was a late roster addition for Team WHL in the Subway Super Series. Despite a good performance at the Subway Super Series he hasn’t been invited to camp.

Former Dallas Stars prospect Nick Paul, who the Dallas Stars traded to the Ottawa Senators in the Jason Spezza deal, was also named to the roster.

The full roster can be found here.

In the coming weeks other teams will announce their rosters. There is a good chance that other Dallas Stars prospect will be chosen to play in the 2015 WJC.
