I took a little bit of time to think about this, but I will be stepping away from Defending Big D for personal reasons. I will still be writing for WFAA and toiling away on Twitter, but the time of needing to respond quickly to a set game schedule has passed me by.
But let’s not bury the lede here. Taylor Baird will be taking over as the new Managing Editor for the site. She and Erin Bolen are, and have been for a while, the backbone of the administrative side of the site as well as consistent contributors of high quality content. It should be a very smooth transition for all of you. I have no doubt whatsoever that the site will be in good hands with Taylor and continue to be by far the best home for Dallas Stars coverage on any medium.
Thanks for your hospitality over the years and I look forward to engaging with all of you just the same for many more years to come. It just won’t be as an Editor or Author for Defending Big D.
