St. Louis Blues Score Four, Dallas Stars Score One. Loss.

The game started out well with a Mattias Janmark goal off of a pass from Jason Spezza. Then darkness consumed the arena and no positive light was seen ever again. The St. Louis Blues would score the next four goals to win 4-1.

The Blues outshot the Dallas Stars 28-26. Antti Niemi stopped 24 of 28 shots as he settles in as a Dallas Stars goalie. On the night the Stars out-Corsi’d the Blues 55-41. Shrug, I don’t know any more.

Cody Eakin, Antoine Roussel, and Patrick Eaves were presumably used as a checking line tonight against the Vladimir Tarasenko group. The three averaged a -6 Corsi as a group on a night where the team as a whole was a heavy plus. They picked up pretty heavy minutes in their own end too.

From the sounds of Twitter the Blues scored off of two rebounds, a Tarasenko breakaway, and a two on one. Breakdowns we’re familiar with seem to still be plaguing them. Just looking at the scoresheet it looks like most everyone had a pretty good game. I guess when the highlights come out we’ll see what happened.
