Roughly 24 hours after the Chicago Blackhawks were eliminated by the St. Louis Blues, and the Dallas Stars learned their opponent for round two, the NHL has released the Stanley Cup Playoff schedule. Here’s the full schedule, including where you can watch on television, for the Stars this round:
Day | Time | Opponent | Game | Network |
Friday, April 29th | 7 PM CST | Dallas Stars vs St. Louis Blues | Game 1 | NBCSN |
Sunday, May 1st | 2 PM CST | Dallas Stars vs St. Louis Blues | Game 2 | NBC |
Tuesday, May 3rd | 7 PM CST / 8:30 PM CST | Dallas Stars @ St. Louis Blues | Game 3 | USA/NBCSN |
Thursday, May 5th | 7 PM CST | Dallas Stars @ St. Louis Blues | Game 4 | NBCSN |
Saturday, May 7th | TBD | Dallas Stars vs St. Louis Blues | Game 5 | TBD* |
Monday, May 9th | TBD | Dallas Stars @ St. Louis Blues | Game 6 | TBD* |
Wednesday, May 11th | TBD | Dallas Stars vs St. Louis Blues | Game 7 | TBD* |
*If needed |
The only thing unknown about the Stars’ schedule is the time and network of game three, the first game the Stars will play on the road in the round. The game will be at 7 PM CST on the USA network if the Anaheim Ducks advance to round two, but would shift to 8:30 PM CST on NBCSN if the Nashville Predators advance.
An extra day of rest before the Stars kick off round two at home. An extra day to get excited for fans. Three out of four potential home games on the weekend. Start times that are mostly reasonable, and another Sunday afternoon on NBC.
At least NBC won’t have the chance to not show the handshake line this round, as they’ll be broadcasting game two only.
