After a sizzling 7-1 blowout against Pittsburgh, the Dallas Stars are rolling back into the AAC with swagger to spare on Thursday night against the Boston Bruins. Dallas’ offense was on fire Monday against the Penguins, scoring six goals in the first period en route to the blowout.
How to watch: The game will be broadcast on Victory+, and you can hear the radio call on The Ticket. Puck drop at 7 p.m. from the AAC.
Miro Heiskanen sparked Dallas’ explosive start against the Penguins, scoring two goals in the first period to help set the tone. But perhaps the real star of the night was Mason Marchment, who had a standout performance with a goal and four assists.
Wyatt Johnston also found the back of the net with a power-play goal, his second of the season, finally breaking a long scoring drought. It was a welcome sight for the Stars, as they’ll look to build momentum with contributions from up and down the lineup.

It was Marchment’s performance on Monday that was most eye-opening as the winger showed grit after taking a puck to the face on Saturday against Winnipeg. Marchment’s line with Tyler Seguin and Matt Duchene has led the way offensively for the Stars this season. Seguin and Duchene also added goals against the Penguins.

Things to Watch
Boston’s Blue Line
The Bruins will be without key defenseman Hampus Lindholm after he was injured blocking a shot Tuesday night in a 3-2 win over the Blues. Boston’s blue line was already depleted, with Andrew Peeke listed as week-to-week due to an upper-body injury. With Lindholm also expected to miss “weeks,” according to coach Jim Montgomery, the Bruins called up veteran blueliner Jordan Oesterle on Wednesday.
Tyler Seguin
The former Bruin has scored goals in two of his last three games, bringing his season total to seven goals and 11 points. The 32-year-old forward, who spent his first three seasons in Boston, has a plus-9 rating over 10 games this season. Seguin had a goal and two assists against Boston earlier this season in a 5-2 road win.
Home Cooking
Dallas is undefeated at the AAC this season with six wins while outscoring opponents 18-6 in that span. Boston, meanwhile, has struggled on the road with a 3-4-1 record, but did manage to sneak out of St. Louis with a road win on Tuesday.
