Dallas Stars Make First Roster Cuts, Send Trio of 2014 Picks Back to Junior Teams
Most of the Stars youngest players were sent back to their junior teams in the first round of training camp cuts, leaving Julius Honka as the sole remaining 2014 pick in camp.
The Dallas Stars have started the process of trimming down their training camp roster, though only slightly, by sending a trio of young draft picks back to their major junior teams.
The Dallas Stars send D Aaron Haydon (Niagara/OHL), D Alex Peters (Flint/OHL) & F Brett Pollock (Edmonton/WHL) back to their junior teams.

All three players were 2014 draft picks, Pollock in the second round, Peters in the third round and Haydon in the sixth round. None of the three played in the Stars initial preseason game against the Florida Panthers. The only remaining 2014 pick at training camp is defenseman Julius Honka.
The move leaves 53 players left in training camp, and the updated roster can be found on the Stars website.
The Stars continue the preseason tomorrow with a 7 p.m. central game at the St. Louis Blues. The lineup for that game won't be known until Thursday morning.
