Dallas Stars Recall Devin Shore From AHL

Devin Shore will be joining the Dallas Stars for their upcoming road trip. The former 2nd round pick has been recalled from the Texas Stars and could make his NHL debut in his hometown of Toronto on Tuesday against the Maple Leafs.

Shore has had a wonderful start to his season. He is tied for 6th in the AHL in scoring with eight goals and three assists in eleven games played, one point ahead of teammate Travis Morin. He is second in the league in goals and leads the Texas Stars in points.

Shore is known for being a good two way player with some offensive pop, but this goal output is a bit more than expected. In the long run he probably projects best as a good third line center. With the Stars depth he definitely shouldn’t get overextended should he make it into the lineup.

No corresponding move was announced. Mark Stepneski was asked if a trade, injury, or demotion was coming on Twitter.

Nope.
