Dallas Stars Recall Defenseman Jyrki Jokipakka

The Dallas Stars sent forward Brett Ritchie and defenseman Jamie Oleksiak to the AHL on Sunday, and this morning have now recalled defenseman Jyrki Jokipakka from the Texas Stars. This was the plan when David Schlemko was claimed, and it’s Jokipakka’s chance to step in try and force the coaches to keep him in the lineup on a more regular basis.

The Stars face the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday, while the Texas Stars take on the San Antonio Rampage on Tuesday and Thursday this week in a home-and-home series.
