Dallas Stars Prospect Update: Philippe Desrosiers Backstops Oceanic In Game Seven To Win QMJHL Championship

With the all the CHL leagues finishing their playoffs the Memorial Cup tournament has begun. Only one Dallas Stars prospect is playing in the Memorial Cup - Philippe Desrosiers for the Rimouski Oceanic, the QMJHL Champions.
QMJHL
The Rimouski Oceanic won game seven in overtime against the Quebec Remperts and thus earned themselves the QMJHL Championship. With Quebec hosting the Memorial Cup tournament both teams were guaranteed a spot in the tournament.
The game seven overtime win was possibly one of the best performances Desrosiers has had. He faced 48 shots in 82 minutes of game time and kept all but one of them out, finishing with a 0.979SVS% and a 0.73GAA.
The Rimouski Oceanic faced the OHL's champions, the Oshawa Generals, in their first game of the Memorial Cup tournament, losing the game 4-3. Desrosiers got the start for the game, making 33 saves on 37 shots that he faced. Highlights of the game can be found here.
The Oshawa Generals are red hot and brought down the high flying Erie Otters to earn a shot at winning the Memorial Cup.
