North American Juniors and NCAA

OHL

Remi Elie played two games with the Erie Otters this week, back to backs against Owen Sound Attack, and finished with two points. He missed a game early in the week due to illness.

He had a goal on Friday as the Erie Otters beat the Attack 4-3. He’d get the third Erie goal of the game, and his 23rd of the season. In Saturday’s matchup Elie would add another assist to his totals, helping Erie tie up the game late in the third to send it to overtime.

Jason Dickinson played two games for the Guelph Storm and finished with three points. All three points came in the same game against the Erie Otters on Wednesday. The Storm would win the game 6-3, Dickinson would score his 22nd goal of the season while adding a pair of assists. He has 57 points through 44 games for the Guelph Storm.

Aaron Haydon is still out for the Niagara IceDogs due to an upper body injury. He’s not expected to play next week either.

Brent Moran only played one game for the IceDogs this week. In a 5-4 loss to the Sarnia Sting he allowed five goals on 31 shots, a 0.839SVS%.

Alex Peters is still out injured.

Patrick Sanvido returned from injury for the Windsor Spitfires. He played in two games this week and went pointless in both contests.

WHL

Brett Pollock played two games this week with the Edmonton Oil Kings, finishing pointless through both of the contests. Pollock leads all Edmonton Oil Kings players with 48 points through 55 games.

In three games this week Cole Ully finished with five points. The Blazers shutout the Tri-City American’s 3-0 last Monday and Ully scored a goal and added an assist. Ully was named the second star of the game for his two point effort in the win. Highlights of the game can be found here.

A 3-2SO win on Friday against the Seattle Thunderbirds saw Ully having an assist on the Blazers second goal. When the game went to the shootout Ully was up first for Kamloops. He scored his shootout attempt to help them get the win. Highlights of the game can be found here.

He’d add a pair of assists to his totals during a 5-2 loss to the Victoria Royals. Both were primary assists on equal strength goals, his effort would be rewarded with the third star of the game. Highlights of the game can be found here.

QMJHL

Philippe Desrosiers played one game in the QMJHL for the Rimouski Oceanic and finished with a 0.929SVS%. He saved 26 of the 28 shots he faced in a 4-2 win against the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies.

USHL

Matej Paulovic played only one game for the Muskegon Lumberjacks. He went pointless in the contest. Paulovic has 34 points through 30 games this season.

NCAA

Mike Prapavessis played in two games for the RPI Engineers, both losses, and finished with a single assist. During a 4-1 loss to Yale on Saturday, Prapavessis would add an assist, his fifth of the year. He went pointless in their 6-3 loss to Brown on Friday.

Devin Shore had a good week in the NCAA, scoring a goal and having two assists through two games for the University of Maine. Maine would win both of the games they played against Merrimack this weekend. Shore would score and assist on the game winner during a 4-3 win on Friday. He was named first star of the game.

In a 5-3 win on Saturday Shore would add another assist on the game winning goal. His three point weekend gives him 29 points in 32 games for the Black Bears.

Europe

Sweden

Ludwig Bystrom played three games for Farjestad this week and went pointless through all those contests. He averaged just under 16 minutes of ice time in those games.

Niklas Hansson played in the only game that Rogle had this week while Emil Molin was not in the line up. In a 5-4SO win Hansson played 15 minutes and finished with an assist. He had an assist on Jordan Smotherman’s fifth goal of the season to make it 3-0.

John Nyberg played four games in the SHL with Frolunda this week. He scored his first SHL point, an assist, during a 4-0 win for Frolunda on Saturday. He had quite low minutes in all those games, registering ice times of between two and ten minutes.

Finland

Esa Lindell played four games this week for Assat and finished with a single point, a goal, and averaged 25 minutes of ice time across those four games. He scored his goal during a 3-2 loss to Ilves. He’d be named first star of the game for his efforts.

Aleksi Makela wasn’t in the lineup for Ilves this week, I believe he is out injured.

After a long absence, Miro Karjalainen returned to action in the Finnish Junior league. He played his 8th game of the season and finished pointless in the contest. He did play over 19 minutes in the game.

Russia

Dmitry Sinitsyn returned to action in Russia this week, playing three games for Dynamo Moscow. He finished pointless in all of the contests and averaged under 10 minutes of ice time per game.
