North American Juniors And NCAA

OHL

Alex Peters went pointless this week for the Flint Firebirds through two games. In five games this season he has yet to register a point.

Chris Martenet also went pointless for the London Knights.

Patrick Sanvido had a pretty good week in the OHL, getting three assists in a single game to help the Windsor Spitfires to a 7-1 win against the Saginaw Spirit. Highlights of the game can be found here. Two of the assists came from passes to onrushing forwards on the breakout while the third was a result of a slapshot rebounding to an open forward.

It was a week to forget for the Niagara IceDogs. They lost all three of the games that they played.

Aaron Haydon finished a -4 over the week and also got himself seven penalty minutes in one go with a fighting major and instigator penalty.

Brent Moran took the brunt of the IceDogs poor week. He played a pair of full games back to back resulting in a 6-1 loss to the Erie Otters and a 4-1 loss to the Barrie Colts.

There were a few soft goals in the ten that he let in but by watching the highlights it is clear that the defense, or lack of, was a big factor in those numbers. Highlights of the Otters game can be found here, and highlights of the Colts game here.
