It’s almost Friday, DBD! While we’re looking forward, let’s identify the milestones the Stars could hit this season.

The Dallas Stars’ first preseason game of 2024-25 is September 21 – which is closer than it seems right now, but still too far away. But that just leaves us time to think about all the high points we might see from the Victory Green Gang in the months to come.

The SportsDay staff at The Dallas Morning News have compiled a few of those milestones for your pleasure. They looked at everyone from forwards…

Tyler Seguin: In addition to closing in on 1,000 games, Seguin is also nine goals away from 100 career power-play goals. His career high in that department came in the 2017-18 season when he had 14. He is also eight assists away from joining the franchise’s top five all-time assists leaders.

…to goaltenders…

Jake Oettinger: 5,000 career saves. He’ll start the season with 4,833.

…to the coaching staff:

Pete DeBoer: The Dallas coach is 11 wins away from 1,200 career NHL victories as a head coach.

There’s much more. Check it out. [SportsDay DFW]
