Dallas Stars Daily Links: Stars Re-Sign Justin Dowling, Brendan Ranford, Add Landon Bow

Yesterday, the Stars signed both Justin Dowling and Brendan Ranford to one-year contract extensions. Mark Stepneski also reported that the team won’t re-sign Alex Peters, Aaron Haydon, Brent Moran, or Patrick Sanvido, all of whom were picks in the 2014 Draft.

It also looks like Mattias Backman will be back in North America next year.

The Stars also brought goaltender Landon Bow into the fold.

After being trading to the Seattle Thunderbirds, Bow recorded a 1.76 GAA and .938 save percentage in 23 games. In 18 playoff games, he logged a 1.96 GAA and a .927 save percentage.

For more on Bow, here’s a little bit about the trade that sent him to the T-birds in January. You can also watch him talk about playing for the WHL Championship (where Seattle lost to the Wheat Kings) and read more about what he wanted to achieve heading into the postseason.
