With a 3-2 loss to the Rangers yesterday afternoon, the Stars fell to 1-4-0 in their past five games. From having a potential goal disallowed due to “inconclusive” evidence, to New York pulling ahead with 2:53 left in the third, there’s probably only one part of the game that you want to relive.

The Stars had yielded 22 goals in their previous four games, and vowed defensive improvement. They got that. They also vowed more intensity, and got that, as they bounced back from the “no goal” call and tied the game with four minutes remaining in regulation.
But they then had some of the same old problems with a giveaway, some defensive breakdowns, and the lack of a big save.
