Dallas Stars Daily Links: Stars Fall to Coyotes 3-1

After their playoff clinching win over the Blackhawks on Tuesday, the Stars couldn’t recreate the magic to pull off another win in Arizona. Thanks in part to solid play from rookie goaltender Louis Domingue, the Coyotes walked away with a 3-1 win. Mike Heika broke down the loss.

The Stars red hot penalty kill was perfect and kept the game close, but the parade to the box eventually wore Dallas down. Despite the fact the Stars put 38 shots on Arizona goalie Louis Domingue, they didn’t get to the high quality scoring areas.

“I should have scored at least one or two today,” said defenseman John Klingberg, who had 11 shots on goal. “They have skill players and they’re a really fast team. We have to be better. We gave them the puck too easy, they got too easy shots, and they got their guy in front. We were on the outside all of the time, and I think that’s the difference.”
