Happy Monday, Dallas Stars fans! Let’s check out some of the weekend headlines:

  • Robert Tiffin watched the Stars-Avalanche game on Saturday, and he’s concluded that Jake Oettinger had a pretty good game. Pretty, pretty, pretty good. [Stars Thoughts]
  • As if by design, David Castillo did an in-depth examination of the Stars’ goaltending last Thursday. There are no coincidences with these guys, I tell you. [Stars Stack]
  • The SportsDay staff did a quick whip-around to find out which Stars favorites are considered talents to watch among other NHL teams. [Dallas Morning News]
  • And Luke Fox takes a look at the UFA class of 2026 in his latest roundup, and tells us why he thinks they’ll be overpaid. [Sportsnet]

And already there are only five undefeated teams this season. Any surprises?

The Texas Stars are off to a bit of a rough start, with narrow losses in both games of the opening-weekend series against the Grand Rapids Griffins. Next up: the Rockford IceHogs on Friday.

The Texas Stars trailed 3-0 in the third period and battled back to within one Saturday, but suffered a second consecutive one-goal loss to the Grand Rapids Griffins, falling 3-2 at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park. More: bit.ly/4nMgGd5
