Yesterday was another thriller in Dallas, with the Stars knotted up with the Jets heading into the third period before pulling away with three unanswered goals. While Mikko Rantanen showcased once again with a three-point performance, it was Stars defenseman Alexander Petrovic that netted the goal that would keep the Stars up for the remainder of the game.

The Stars are now up 2-1 in the series, but things won’t get easier from here. Dallas Morning News reporter Lia Assimakopoulos shared five of her thoughts from yesterday’s victory, which includes: Rantanen’s continued torrid postseason, Alexander Petrovic’s impact, the goal review that lasted nearly the entirety of Lynard Skynyrd’s “Freebird” (yes, you read that right), Connor Hellebuyck’s struggles and the impact defensemen have had on this series.

You can read Lia’s thoughts in their entirety here.
