Happy Halloween, Stars Fans! The first month of the season is in the books, and the Stars sit at 6-3-2 with 14 points. That’s two points off first place – a three way tie between Winnipeg, Utah, and Colorado (though Colorado’s is slightly less impressive with four OT losses).
It’s been a trick-or-treat first month (yes, I promise I’ll stop with that bad joke officially tomorrow), but personally, I’m pretty OK with what I’ve seen so far. Between adjusting to a new coach with a new style, and the injury bug that’s plagued this team early, things are shaky, but the sky isn’t falling. Bring on November….
First thing’s first, let’s give one more shoutout to Tyler Seguin for hitting the 1,000 game milestone last night.

Also, this was a nice touch from the team…

Elsewhere in the Central
Just two other Central Division games last night.
- The Jets piled it on the Blackhawks 6-3, who tried to make it interesting at the end but fell short. (ESPN)
- In Minnesota, the ice-cold Wild fell to the still red-hot Penguins 4-1. (ESPN)
The Avs take on the Golden Knights this afternoon in Las Vegas, which should be a fun one to watch before you get your candy hunt on.
Finally
I guess I’m just going to stick with all Tyler Seguin things today, because I’d rather just forget the OT loss to the Lightning last night. So….yeah.

How are we feeling about October in general, Stars fans? Or is the jury still out on this team?
