Pretty cool article from Sports Illustrated about Dave Strader calling a game of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Washington Capitals series and how he got into broadcasting hockey.

Only 2 playoff games last night and they both went into overtime.
The Boston Bruins were down 2-0 after the 1st period but were able to tie things up in the 2nd including the 1st ever NHL goal by Sean Kuraly. That was all the scoring for a while as the game went into double OT. Kuraly potted his 2nd goal to help the Bruins stave off elimination winning 3-2. The Ottawa Senators lead the series 3-2. (Stanley Cup of Chowder)
Washington Capitals goalie Braden Holtby had to make some acrobatic saves and Justin Williams scored the winner in OT for the 2-1 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Caps are up in the series 3-2. (Japers’ Rink)
Some fun in the Cap v Leafs game
Was Nazem Kadri’s hit on Alex Ovechkin, technically, a dirty play?

Stars fans complain about John Klingberg’s turnovers but interesting stat about Norris nominee Brett Burns.
A reminder that Brent Burns’ 153 giveaways this season are the most in NHL history, a full 26 more than second place (Kovalchuk in 05/06).
