Dallas Stars Daily Links: The Rad Russian Rampages

All hail Alexander Radulov. Long live the king!

Fresh off a healthy scratch due to oversleeping, Dallas Stars forward Radulov made it up to his teammates by posting his first career hat trick in last night’s 4-0 win over the Colorado Avalanche.

I’m still giddy with excitement over the game, so let’s just cut straight to the highlights, shall we? Here’s numero uno:

And if you thought that was pretty, wait till you see the second:

We interrupt this Radulov love fest to bring you an important goal from Jamie Benn:

And finally, the icing on the cake:

Here’s what Radulov had to say about his stellar performance:

More From Last Night

Here’s head coach Jim Montgomery’s post-game interview. Make sure you stick around for the final question…

Overshadowed by Radulov’s performance was Ben Bishop, who posted back-to-back shutouts for the first time in his career. All aboard the #Bishop4Vezina hype train!

Wild, Wild West

Boy, that sure was a great win for Dallas in terms of the Western Conference playoff race. I sure do hope none of the other bubble teams pulled out a win last night. And even if they did, at least it probably wasn’t a shutout:

  • The Arizona Coyotes continue to make their late playoff push, as they upset the conference-leading Calgary Flames 2-0. [Matchsticks & Gasoline]
  • Elsewhere, the Minnesota Wild downed the best team in the East (and NHL in general), beating the Tampa Bay Lightning 3-0. [Hockey Wilderness]
  • And lastly, the St. Louis Blues beat down the worst in West, the Los Angels Kings, in a 4-0 victory. [Jewels From The Crown]/

…I’m starting to think last night wasn’t so special.

(Note: St. Louis is still up three points on Dallas for third in the Central.)

Around the League

Guys, I love Matt Duchene. But the Stars shouldn’t pursue him in UFA this summer, because he’s definitely cursed:

Here’s a great piece on Ryan O’Reilly and his success with the Blues since being traded by the Buffalo Sabres:

You’ve got to ask yourself one question. Do I feel lucky? Well, do you, punk?!?

Finally, the trade deadline has long since passed, but that doesn’t mean that NHL General Managers aren’t still busy:
