Roope Hintz To See First Preseason Action As Avalanche Come To Dallas

Antoin Khudobin gets a turn in net as the goalie battle continues in Big D.

The Dallas Stars will finish their preseason schedule with a home-and-home versus the Colorado Avalanche starting tonight at the American Airlines Center. Puck drop will be 7 PM CDT.

Roope Hintz will see his first preseason game for the Stars after playing through all of last season and then undergoing surgery in the offseason to fix a gnarly groin muscle injury. It was reported earlier today that Avalanche goaltender Pavel Francouz will miss 3 to 4 weeks with a lower-body injury.

Additionally, head coach Jared Bednar will not be behind the bench for these two preseason games against the Stars as he tested positive for COVID-19.

Jason Robertson - Roope Hintz - Joe Pavelski
Tanner Kero - Jamie Benn - Alexander Radulov
Michael Raffl - Radek Faksa - Denis Gurianov
Joel Kiviranta - Luke Glendening - Blake Comeau

Esa Lindell - Miro Heiskanen
Ryan Suter - John Klingberg
Joel Hanley - Andrej Sekera

Antoin Khudobin is expected to get the full game while Braden Holtby will serve as the backup.

The Avalanche are rolling into town with a mix of veterans and rookies to match up against the Stars’ basically-NHL-quality roster.

Attend the game in person at the American Airlines Center! Otherwise, your only option will be to listen to the Avalanche radio stream and call of the game here or follow all of the Stars’ social media channels for highlights and updates (Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook).
