Dallas Stars Announce Annual Ice Breaker Event Set for September 13th

A week from today you can go see the Dallas Stars. Sure, they won't be playing hockey, but it's still a fun event.

This afternoon the Dallas Stars announced that their annual Ice Breaker event will be held a week from today, September 13th, in its customary locale: The Galleria off the tollway just north of 635. Players will sign autographs from 11am to 1pm.

The list of players attending has not yet been announced- Obviously there will be talk of Brenden Dillon and Cody Eakin, but as with others in the past (James Neal, Jamie Benn, etc...) they won't be there without a contract, and those deals probably won't get done until closer to the preseason, or even regular season.

Nonetheless the Ice Breaker is always a fun day to congregate with fellow Stars fans, get a look at new players (Jason Spezza, Ales Hemsky in this case) in their Dallas jerseys, and just generally kick off the hockey season. Hope to see a few of you out there.
