The Traverse City Tournament kicks off this Friday, signaling the start of hockey season is well and truly upon us.

Dallas Stars fans will be particularly interested in this tournament as it’ll be the first time they’ll get to watch Miro Heiskanen in game action on North American ice. Not only will fans be able to see his individual skill, and the skill of other notable Stars prospects, they’ll get a chance to see how the prospect system stacks up against some of the other teams in the league.

Here’s Sean Shapiro with the screenshot of the roster for Dallas:

Colton Point appears to be the key goaltender for Dallas heading into the tournament. The prospect initially said he was going to return to college for the upcoming season before deciding to turn pro instead. He’s expected to get the chance to compete for the starting job in the AHL this season with the Texas Stars, Dallas’ affiliate club.

The Dallas Stars prospects will compete in the Ted Lindsay Division for the tournament. The schedule is as follows:

Friday, September 7th @ 6 PM CDT - vs New York Rangers
Saturday, September 8th @ 6 PM CDT - vs Detroit Red Wings
Monday, September 10th @ 2:30 PM CDT - @ Minnesota Wild

The teams will be seeded within their divisions and then will play a final game on Tuesday, September 11th to determine final placement in the tournament. The final schedule is as follows:

2:00 PM CDT - 7th place game (4th in Lindsay vs 4th in Howe)
2:30 PM CDT - 5th place game (3rd Howe vs 3rd Lindsay)
5:30 PM CDT - 3rd place game (2nd Lindsay vs 2nd Howe)
6:00 PM CDT - Championship game (1st Howe vs 1st Lindsay)
